As you can see I modified the handle to fit my application. I'm using this on a 20 pound sledge hammer head. Its perfect and even fun to use.
You have a wooden handle (nothing special) that fits into a metal tip with thread's to go into a broom or end of your choice.
One little problem with this piece of junk handle... The wood handle pulls right out of the metal tip. A baby could remove it without even trying.
I am not going to bother sending it back because I'm handy enough to repair this piece of junk to make it functional, but had I known that the wooden handle slides loosely into the metal tip with no mechanism to keep it firmly attached, then I wouldn't have paid 50 cents for this product.
So, what I will end up doing is using powerful glue to first glue the wooden handle into the tip. After that sets, then I will install screws through the metal tip into the wooden handle.
All of this will hold it together and it will be fine, but why should I rebuilt a product before I can use it for the first time??
There MUST be better broom handles than this one!!
If you're looking for a broom handle, my advice is to Keep Looking... This ain't the ONE!!
